Praising the same God
As I reflect back on the past seven weeks of VBS on the Road, I am grateful that I have been given the opportunity to work with a team of six in God’s ministry to the children. Now, I never really worked with children before in a program such as VBS, so it was a game changer for me and a first time experience. I have to admit working with the them has opened my eyes to see a new spectrum of ministry that I knew very little about. Each child had something special to offer, whether it was their smile, laughter, or the way they responded to a question.
My position working in VBS was leading the games and activities. I had the chance to see the children in action working together learning how to function as a team. It was interesting to see the children’s creativity in how to play the games. Some of the games had two groups competing against each other. Each child was playing the game in a different way, but was reaching the same destination. After thinking about that, I applied it to ministry. When people read scripture or try to seek God, it could be different than someone else’s approach. However, we’re all going after and praising the same God; they just understand God in different ways.
